Indian River Preserve is an 18-hole golf course co-designed by renowned golf course architect Perry Dye and LPGA champion Jan Stephenson. The course features lush fairways across a rolling landscape, surrounded by serene lakes, nature preserves, and wildlife. The Indian River Preserve clubhouse is home to Andrei’s Restaurant, serving seasonal, local fare and a large banquet facility capable of hosting weddings and private catered events.Responsibilities of Event Sales Director at Indian River Preserve Golf Club include:Manage the club’s event calendar.Serve as the primary point of contact for large events, banquets, parties, and other private functions.Generate event sales leads and follow up on inquiries from initial contact through booking and event completion.Maintain organized paperwork, contracts, and records for each booking.Maintain or exceed budgeted event sales and profitability goals.Develop and execute processes for event inquiries, bookings, planning, and follow-up.Provide tours of event spaces to prospective clients as necessary.Meet with members, guests, and prospective clients to plan events.Build relationships with members, guests, community organizations, businesses, and other potential clients to drive sales.Attend major club and private events as necessary to support execution, strengthen guest relationships, and develop future sales opportunities.Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Golf Operations, and other departments to ensure events are properly communicated and executed.Assist with club marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media, event promotions, and other digital communications.Develop and coordinate marketing efforts for weddings, banquets, private parties, golf outings, restaurant events, and other club activities.Maintain and communicate the club’s upcoming event calendar through appropriate marketing channels.Assist the General Manager with administrative projects, communications, reports, and operational follow-up as needed.REQUIRED SKILLSCountry Club experience a plus.Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.The ability to be ‘aggressive’, as it relates to hitting sales goals.Creative in implementing various marketing ideas to increase sales.Deadline driven.Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.An understanding of Club financials.Physical Demands & Work Environment RequirementsMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time during events.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate events.
