Job summary

Tao Group is seeking a part-time Event Production Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare mise en place, follow recipes, and support daily service and special events. You will maintain food safety, work with chefs and supervisors, and help ensure quality and timely prep.

Prior high-volume kitchen experience and basic knife skills are preferred. This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and adapt to a fast-paced environment within a casino, nightclub,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a high-volume kitchen or food service environment required.
• Basic knife skills and foundational knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Measure and portion ingredients; prepare basic sauces, dressings, marinades, and base components.
• Set up prep station and follow FIFO and rotation standards.
• Know and execute assigned recipes to company standards.
• Follow prep lists and directions from Chefs and Kitchen Supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of station and work areas.
• Communicate needs, shortages, and inventory to Chefs and Supervisors.
• Assist on-site at events with food preparation, station setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
