Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 1 - Events based in Dallas, TX. You will support broadcast power for live sports and media productions, install and service generators, HVAC systems, and electrical equipment for events.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years' experience, and a focus on safety. You will travel, work overtime, and be part of a team delivering reliable power for major events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Previous experience with event and entertainment.
• Experience servicing, testing and installing commercial HVAC, BESS or industrial diesel generators.
• Embraces and promotes safety culture.
• Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality.
• Reliable and committed to delivering quality performance.
• Able to work overtime, travel and on-call.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based out of our Dallas, TX - AES service center.
• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment.
• Install and commission for Events Services and other complex projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Events Services and in the service centers.
• Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ensure completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, within budgets.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Maintain knowledge of safe working conditions per OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and design proactive notifications.
