Job description

\"Our leaders have always encouraged us to try new approaches and learn by experimentation. The biggest learning through this was that persistence and calculated risks, pay off.\"

Nestled on the sacred lands of the Santa Ana Pueblo and framed by the breathtaking Sandia Mountains, Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa is a one‑of‑a‑kind destination for meetings, conferences, retreats, weddings, and celebrations. Our resort blends luxury with Pueblo tradition, offering guests meaningful experiences in a setting unlike anywhere else.

With over 54,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, including expansive ballrooms, scenic outdoor venues, and culturally inspired gathering spaces, Tamaya is a premier destination for unforgettable events. Our 350‑room resort features 25,000 sq. ft. of indoor meeting space and 29,000 sq. ft. of outdoor venues including an amphitheater, pavilion, and veranda.

Overview:

The Event Planning Manager plays a vital role in bringing unforgettable meetings, conferences, and social events to life at Hyatt Regency Tamaya. This is a dynamic, high-energy position where no two days look the same. You’ll often find yourself balancing multiple moving pieces at once—juggling timelines, client needs, internal coordination, all while keeping every detail aligned and every stakeholder informed.

While the pace can be demanding and the responsibilities wide ranging, the reward is extraordinary. Few roles offer the unique satisfaction of watching months of planning transform into moments of joy, connection, and celebration. At Tamaya, the impact of your work is felt in every smile, every successful event, and every guest who leaves with a memory they’ll carry for a lifetime.
As the primary liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel teams, the Event Planning Manager oversees all phases of the event lifecycle, ensuring each experience reflects the cultural spirit, hospitality, and heartfelt care that define the Hyatt Touch.
