Job Summary

Parking Services at CU Boulder invite applications for the Event Parking Supervisor positions! There are twopositions available. This role exists to act as a special eventlead worker who oversees concession sales, general and reserveparking and traffic flows in specified area on the CU Bouldercampus. This is a 1% on call position working events that includeevening's weekends, and holidays with no guarantee of any number ofwork hours. There are uniform requirements, and the incumbent isresponsible for knowing and complying with uniform policies.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating inevent briefings, directing traffic, cash handling &reconciliation, and resolving customer problems. In addition, theincumbent shall be assigned to various shifts via the ShiftBoardscheduling system. Ability to follow and understand written andoral instructions related to the specific event's logistics.

Who We Are

Parking Services (PS) is a department within the Auxiliary Servicesunit of Finance and Business Strategy (FBS) at the University ofColorado Boulder. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Event Supervision
  • Responsible for coordinating event related assignments andequipment for an assigned group of parking attendants, comprised ofstudents and contract agency employees, within a defined area ofcampus. Ability to make quick decisions related to unique variablesthat may occur during events. This position will need to workindependently with and without direct supervision. In addition, theincumbent shall also provide detailed onsite briefings related tothe specific event's logistics. Must adhere to CU and ParkingServices Internal Audit regulations. Keep Events Managers fullyinformed of event equipment, personnel, and event relatedtopics.
Customer Service
  • Responsible for providing exceptional customer service, andrequires listening to guest needs in order to provide satisfactorysolutions to their questions or situation. The position requires aknowledge of campus geography, parking facilities and procedures,and the ability to communicate to a diverse clientele. Primarily,this will include discussions about parking costs, and generalinformation about campus or local amenities. The incumbent isresponsible for reading and understanding event position assignmentdocuments and for all necessary tools required on-post such ascorrect uniform, radio, traffic vest, flashlight etc.
Training
  • Responsible for completing all University of Colorado atBoulder required trainings and all Parking Services requiredtrainings. Incumbent is responsible for tracking their assignedevents and other duties as assigned that assist in the operationsand activities of the Parking Services Department.
Other Duties
  • Responds to emergent needs as directed by supervisor oruniversity/department leadership.

  • This is an in person, on-call in position.
  • Work schedule includes days, evenings, and weekends. No minimumhours guaranteed.
  • Working outside during all types of weather.
  • Two open positions.
