Job summary

Omni Rentals Inc. dba Perfect Event Rentals (PER) in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily setup and teardown of event contracts.

You will serve as the primary liaison between field teams and senior leadership, directing crew operations, staffing, inventory, and safety to ensure flawless event execution. The role requires 5+ years in event planning or tenting, plus forklift and OSHA certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of event planning or commercial tenting experience.
• 1+ year of proven team management or supervisory experience.
• Valid Forklift Certification Class 7 and OSHA Certification.
• Documented ability to safely drive a box truck, large trailer, and heavy trucks.
• Outstanding multi-tasking, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, Goodshuffle Pro, and Google Workspace applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily crew operations, assign roles, and hire/train field staff.
• Facilitate daily updates between field and office; run monthly check-ins.
• Manage schedules for field crews and warehouse personnel.
• Interact with clients to conduct site surveys and plan events.
• Oversee loading/unloading of trucks and trailers; fleet logistics.
• Maintain inventory control for vehicles and warehouses; coordinate equipment upkeep.
• Lead safety training and enforce OSHA/state regulations.
• Supervise setup/teardown of tents, flooring, stages, lighting, tables, chairs.
• Perform routine performance reviews and disciplinary actions per policy.
• Collaborate on operational goal-setting with crews and management.
