Gameday Your Way (GDYW) is an events company specializing in creating authentic and memorable experiences around major sporting events in the Midwest. We partner with renowned venues like Soldier Field and the University of Notre Dame, offering all-inclusive ticketed tailgates, equipment rentals, catering, and transportation services. Through our event production division, Gameday Production Services (GPS), we also manage large-scale sporting events and university events.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Event Manager to support an event in Chicago, IL, from July 17-21, 2025. The Event Manager will play a critical role in overseeing on-site event operations, ensuring seamless coordination among our staff operating will-call and shuttle loading/unloading in the downtown area. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues in real-time, communicate effectively with GDYW’s Leadership Team, and professionally represent GDYW in interactions with the client.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event operations across shuttle stops and will-call locations.
• Maintain direct communication with shuttle stop supervisors, managers, and dispatch to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot any event-related issues and escalate to the Leadership Team as necessary.
• Serve as the client's on-site representative of GDYW.
• Ensure staff are performing their roles effectively and assist where needed.
• Provide clear and professional communication with all event personnel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in event management or event production.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle fast-paced environments and problem-solve under pressure.
• Punctual and dependable, with a commitment to executing a high-quality event.
• Comfortable working long shifts (8-12 hours) in a hands-on, on-site role.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from event locations.
• This is a temporary position with no guarantee of work after the event.
• Lunch is not provided—please bring your own meals.
