Job summary

Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Manager, Loading Dock Operations to oversee the arena's subterranean loading dock, ensuring safety, organization, and efficiency across more than 200 events annually. You will lead the Loading Dock Team, coordinate deliveries, supervise staff, and work with vendors and internal departments, using QTrak, Word, and Excel to schedule and track activities.

Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Business, or Logistics/Supply Chain Management plus 2 years of progressively responsible roles in arena operations.
• Experience managing loading dock or large-venue operations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Valid state driver’s license required; forklift and aerial lift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of all deliveries and the arena loading dock.
• Supervise the Loading Dock Team during event and non-event hours.
• Coordinate loading/unloading of trucks and movement of materials; ensure safety and efficiency.
• Plan maintenance work on dock equipment and supervise certifications for staff.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate Loading Dock staff and service providers.
