Job summary

Kehoe Designs is seeking an Event Installer to transport, set up, and breakdown décor, furniture, floral products, lighting, and staging at various venues. You will prepare materials for transport, assemble design elements, and ensure safe handling while supporting Logistics and Production teams.

The role requires basic event setup experience, ability to read pull sheets, use hand tools, and lift heavy items.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of experience in event setup preferred.
• Ability to understand, read, and speak English.
• Experience interpreting pull sheets and setup instructions.
• Comfortable using hand tools and operating ladders and lifts (must provide own tools).
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to lift 30–50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and travel.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and customer service focus.

Position Overview:

The Event Installer is responsible for the transportation, setup, and breakdown of event décor, furniture, floral products, lighting, and staging elements at various venues. This role involves preparing event materials for transport, assembling and disassembling design elements, and ensuring the safe handling and storage of all items. The Event Installer will work closely with the Logistics and Production teams deliver exceptional event experiences.

• Install and uninstall event elements including portable bars, backdrops, lighting, ceiling décor, and furniture.

Pay & Benefits | What You’ll Receive

• Hourly wage: $18.00, based on experience.


• Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws.
