Job summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas. Under general supervision, the Staff Accountant handles accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, auditing, box office, exhibitor services and event settlements, serving as a liaison between the facility and clients.

This role requires strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, the ability to work with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Zero to three years related experience in sports and entertainment industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned event settlements with Sales, Event Services and Operations.
• Prepare event flash reports for reporting and journal entries.
• Record daily cash reports and ticket collection entries.
• Assist monthly close: reconciliations, analysis and journal entries.
• Assist with AP batch entry review.
• Maintain internal audit controls and participate in external audits.
• Assist with exhibitor services event audits.
• Run reports via online ordering system software.
• Address inquiries and research discrepancies.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
