Job summary

City of Red Oak, Texas seeks Facility/Special Event Attendants to manage the Red Oak Municipal Center during private rentals and public events, enforcing policies and assisting with setup and equipment. Shifts vary, about 5–20 hours weekly, with evenings, weekends and holidays possible on a year‑round basis.

Attendants work independently under the Events Coordinator and Director of Communications and Marketing, providing safe, courteous service and support for city events.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating audio/visual equipment including projectors and microphones.
• Proven ability to interact positively with the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and resolve inquiries and complaints promptly and courteously.
• Represent the City of Red Oak in a professional manner at all times.
• Open, close and secure the Municipal Center for rentals and events.
• Assist with setup/teardown of facility (tables, chairs, equipment) as needed.
• Support event operations and provide guidance on correct use of facility/equipment.
