This is a FULL-TIME, onsite position located in Bethesda, MD.

National Capitol Contracting is seeking an Event Facilities Housekeeper to join a team of professionals at the NIH, the nation's premier scientific and medical research center. Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing the event space, including setting up and arranging furniture according to the event plan. Additional duties include facilities and bathroom cleaning, trash collection, setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and equipment, as well as other related tasks. The role requires excellent cleaning skills, attention to quality control, and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Event space sanitation: cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, buffing and cleaning hard floors.
2. Cleaning and sanitizing equipment in conference rooms, bathrooms, kitchenettes, and storage areas.
3. Setting up and moving furniture in shared spaces and rooms, including interconnecting cabling between tables.
4. Packing, loading, delivering, and unloading furniture and equipment.
5. Transporting equipment and supplies between buildings or campuses.
6. Assisting in maintaining furniture, equipment, and inventory, including checkout systems for lendable items like easels and whiteboards.
7. Restoring rooms and communal areas to standard configurations after events.
8. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications include the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with computer programs such as Outlook email.
• Experience with carpet cleaning, floor buffing, and related equipment.

Special Position Requirements

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10AM-7PM.
• Physical demands: standing, walking across campus, lifting up to 50 lbs, mobility required to perform duties.
