Job summary

Buchanan Group Inc. is seeking an Event Staff team member to help execute events by assisting with setup, tear-down, guest services, and facility maintenance.

The role emphasizes a welcoming environment, excellent customer service, and adherence to company and venue standards, with opportunities to support weddings, parties, and gatherings while collaborating with Event Leads and managers. Evenings, weekends, and holidays availability is required, and you may work at multiple venues as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior event or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with valid Indiana liquor license (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event setup and tear-down at multiple venues, including tables, chairs, décor, and bar supplies.
  • Greet guests, provide directions, answer basic questions, and ensure guest needs are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout events.
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Operate event equipment as needed, including AV systems, CD/DVD players, and video equipment (training provided).
  • Support bar setup and close-out procedures when requested.
  • Follow company and venue policies, procedures, and dress code standards.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled training sessions (Graystone, LMS 365, etc.).
  • Assist Event Leads and managers with additional event duties as assigned.
