Located within five hours (300 miles) of 25 percent of the U.S. population,Watkins Glen Internationalis the premier road racing facility in North America, three-times voted "Best NASCAR Track" by readers ofUSA Today. The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year.

Summary:

The Event Experience Specialist is responsible for assisting the Event Experience team and Track President in the strategic development and implementation of new and existing major events.

Responsibilities:

  • Support marketing efforts related to events, including assisting with promotional materials, social media engagement, and event branding.
  • Provide administrative support for event preparation and logistics.
  • Assist the Event Experience Department in all areas of event planning and event activation
  • Collaborate with other departments prior to and during event execution
  • Engage with guests, enhancing the overall event experience through customer service and operational support.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth execution of all event activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to event preparation, operations, or guest services.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or 2+ years into bachelor's degree: Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends as required
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; the ability to work effectively with staff and volunteers; display superior judgement and diplomatic skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment to excellence, self-motivation, and professionalism; Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with organization and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet research, and experience working with databases
  • Hold a valid Driver's License
  • True team player and collaborator
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation to and from the track location
