Job description

WATKINS GLEN

Located within five hours (300 miles) of 25 percent of the U.S. population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America, three-times voted “Best NASCAR Track” by readers of USA Today. The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year.

The compensation range for this position is: $15.50-$25.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Operate equipment of all types as directed and maintain equipment as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the facility.
2. Maintain landscaped areas as required to achieve desired results in the overall appearance of the facility.
3. Clean grounds, including but not limited to, removal of trash and litter, year-round.
4. Hang and dismantle signage, banners, etc., as needed.
5. Dig ditches with a shovel, trencher, and/or backhoe.
6. Repair tools, water lines, fences, gates, walls, walkways, and buildings and perform necessary general maintenance as directed.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, and/or QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum 18 years of age.
2. Valid Driver’s License.
3. Successfully pass a driving record check. (Preferred, not required).
4. Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods.
5. Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
