Job summary

Fooda seeks a friendly, high-energy part-time event assistant to support rotating popup restaurant programs in Hayward, CA. You will be onsite to set up, tear down, and ensure a high-quality customer experience during lunch hours, with flexibility to extend to 8 am–4 pm as needed.

Ideal candidates are strong communicators with customer-service mindset, comfortable with technology, and able to travel locally in their own car.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or serving preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work daytime hours and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down event areas, clean equipment, and ensure high-quality setup and customer experience.
• Onsite promotions and mobile app coaching.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary.
• Move around locally in own car to cover market needs.

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited,and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch we have positions availableMonday - Friday(10 am – 2 pm)but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You are resourceful, exhibit grace under pressure, and know you’re capable of finding solutions
• You are a strong communicator and self-starter
• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
