Job summary

tarte cosmetics is seeking a detail-oriented Events Coordinator on a 6-month contract to plan and execute marketing events. You will work across PR, influencer, marketing and creative teams to deliver successful activations and manage logistics.

The role requires 2+ years of event planning, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally. A Bachelor's Degree is required, and Excel & PowerPoint proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all event planning logistics including travel, venues, vendors, shipping, and on-site problem-solving.
• Drive project timelines to stay organized and meet deadlines.
• Manage creative execution of events including branded collateral, décor and on-site setup.
• Brainstorm and source activations, vendors and activities for events.
• Coordinate collaboration with partner brands for events and gifting opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts & pricing as needed.
• Coordinate guest lists and invitations; main on-site contact for events.
• Manage department budget and support HR for internal/corporate events.
• Supervise 1-2 interns per semester.

Events Coordinator (Contract)

tarte cosmetics is seeking a coordinator who will be responsible for executing & planning all marketing events. This role will work cross functionally with PR, influencer, marketing & creative teams to coordinate key activations. Candidates must have experience in large & small scale event planning, & possess the ability to prioritize & thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a 6-month contract position targeting 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all event planning logistics including but not limited to coordinating travel, venues, sourcing vendors, shipping products, on-site problem-solving, etc.
• Drive project timelines to stay organized & meet all deadlines
• Manage creative execution of events including creation of branded collateral, décor & on-site setup
• Brainstorm & source creative activations, vendors & activities for events
• Seek out & facilitate collaboration with like-minded brands for event collaboration & gifting opportunities
• Negotiate contracts & pricing as needed
• Work cross-functionally to coordinate guest lists & invitations
• Main point of contact on-site for all events
• Manage & work within department budget
• Support HR & other cross-functional departments as needed for internal/corporate events
• Manage 1-2 interns per semester
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 2+ years' experience in event planning
• Experience with media &/or influencer events a plus
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, & ability to multi-task
• Ability to be flexible & experience troubleshooting problems in real time
• Advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
• Frequent travel & evening/weekend responsibilities during events
• Domestic and International travel will be required for this specific position.
