Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking an Event Coordinator within the Department of Radiology to plan and coordinate events that advance our academic and healthcare mission. You will lead planning, scheduling, and execution for a range of activities, bringing people together in meaningful ways.

The role emphasizes organization, creativity, and collaboration, with opportunities to manage digital communications, registrations, surveys, and on-site logistics across campus and online settings.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning.
  • Experience providing customer service, administrative support, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and creation of promotional materials and resources for events.
  • Greet customers/guests, assist with registration, answer questions, and refer complex issues to appropriate entities.
  • Monitor and process event‑related transactions, data, and records.
  • Schedule logistics and secure resources for all aspects of events, including space, vendors, and staff; coordinate details and resolve operational issues.
  • Communicate with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluate requests, recommend service plans and pricing, and provide status updates.

Job Summary

Join the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin‑Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as an Event Coordinator and play a key role in supporting a wide range of events that advance a world‑class academic and healthcare mission. In this position, you will lead the planning and coordination of events, bringing people together in meaningful and engaging ways.

The Department of Radiology is dedicated to improving human health through innovation in clinical care, imaging research, and education. Additional Requirements
  • Work may be performed in‑person on campus or remotely off‑site as needed; evening and weekend events may be required.
  • Schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
  • Position requires heavy lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including effective collaboration, maintaining professional relationships, and working under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
