Job summary

Fireside Catering is seeking an Event Cook to support preparation, cooking and plating for 50-200+ guest events at premier venues. You’ll follow menus, work with farm-sourced ingredients, and contribute to a fast-paced kitchen team.

The role offers full-time and part-time hours with perks like per-shift pay, dining discounts, and growth opportunities. Must be able to lift 30 lbs and work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Desire to cultivate your culinary skills; learn proper knife skills, baking, etc.
• Take pride in your job and use ingredients from local vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for dishes, including cutting, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
• Follow recipes and directions to ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented consistently and to high-quality standards.
• Work as a team with other kitchen staff members efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items.
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, including knives, cutting boards, and food processors.
• Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly.
