Job summary

Sodexo at the University of Missouri Athletics is seeking a Concessions Supervisor to oversee event-based concessions operations during university events, ensuring fast, friendly service and compliance with standards.

This on-site role leads concession teams, coordinates staffing, handles inventory awareness, and resolves guest concerns, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years in concessions, food service, or event-based operations.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to supervise alcohol sales.
• Must maintain TIPS/TEAM or equivalent alcohol-service certification.
• Food handler certification may be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee concession stands, kiosks, portable locations, and walk-out or autonomous stores as applicable.
• Assign staff to concession locations and adjust coverage based on volume and needs.
• Conduct pre-event or pre-shift briefings to review expectations and service standards.
• Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues as needed.
• Support onboarding and training of concession staff and leads.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.
