The San Mateo County Event Center is seeking a friendly cashier to help operate the POS system (Toast) and process cash, credit, and debit payments during events. This as-needed role supports concession operations and requires delivering excellent guest service with accuracy and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, upselling where appropriate, maintaining clean concession areas, and following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Customer service experience in hospitality, food service, or retail.
• Ability to greet guests, answer questions and upsell when appropriate.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

• Greet guests and take orders
• Share menu information, answer questions, and upsell when applicable
• Enter orders into Toast POS and process payments
• Coordinate with the cook to ensure hot food reaches guests quickly
• Respond promptly to guest needs with a positive, solution-focused attitude
• Keep concession area clean and organized
• Restock food and beverage supplies with proper storage procedures
• Follow health and safety regulations to keep guests and staff safe
• Support teammates and management during busy times
• Pitch in wherever needed, as directed by Supervisor or Manager
