The San Mateo County Event Center is seeking a friendly cashier to help operate the POS system (Toast) and process cash, credit, and debit payments during events. This as-needed role supports concession operations and requires delivering excellent guest service with accuracy and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, upselling where appropriate, maintaining clean concession areas, and following health and safety guidelines.
The San Mateo County Event Center is a public assembly facility that hosts a wide variety of events and produces the San Mateo County Fair and runs the Jockey Club - A satellite wagering facility for horse racing, as well as a full-service food service operation. The cashier is responsible for operating the POS/Cash register smooth flow of customer traffic.
This is an as-needed position, where the schedule will be determined based on specific events or projects, with no regular or set hours.
