Job summary

University at Buffalo Campus Dining & Shops is seeking a Casual Part Time staff member to provide exceptional service at athletic events and campus venues. You will set up, service, and clean during football and basketball games, and may assist with special campus events such as commencements.

The role requires flexible days, evenings, and weekends with weekly schedule changes and attendance at multiple UB home games. A valid NYS driver's license and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS driver's license with clean driving record.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Attention to detail and strong customer service.
• Ability to work well in a team and with management.
• Good eye contact and people skills; able to communicate clearly.
• Must read/write English; punctuality and reliable attendance.
• Open availability; must work events including home UB games.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and prep duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exemplary guest service during events (banquet service, carving stations, bartending, running food, buffets, replenishment).
• Coordinate with Concessions Lead to execute events from planning to breakdown.
• Adhere to HACCP and NYS health regulations; follow ServSafe standards.
• Transport and set up equipment, return items to storage as directed.
• Support concession stands at UB home football/basketball games.
• Perform side work and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist with event setup, operation, and post-event cleanup.
• Provide service at Presidential events and the President's Residence.
• Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
