Job summary

Oak View Group’s Flint River Entertainment Complex in Albany, GA seeks a Part-Time Changeover Crew member to manage room setups and auditorium conversions between events. Duties include setting up and tearing down seating, flooring, and furnishings, plus basic maintenance and cleanup.

Nights, weekends, and holidays are common per event schedules. You will respond to promoters/clients’ needs and work with management to ensure safe, timely transitions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with event changeovers is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
• Must be able to work in a manner that is safe and effective.
• Must possess the ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team.
• Able to follow detailed instructions accurately while communicating clearly and effectively.
• Experience operating equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment. Training and certification required.
• Work boots are required and provided by the employee for all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Actively care for all equipment and property by storing, cleaning, and maintaining changeover equipment.
• Respond and resolve set-up issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and management.
• Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events.
• Setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
• Responding to promoters'/clients' needs as directed.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met, including loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area.
• Assist, when necessary, with pre/post event cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing.
• Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, garage, entrances, and event plaza.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, patching, and other conversion-related operational equipment.
• Follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
• Works effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
• Other duties as assigned.
