Job summary

Oak View Group's St. Charles Convention Center in Missouri is hiring a Housekeeping Janitorial Associate to maintain cleanliness and assist in event setup and post‑event cleanup.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of facilities housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with facilities housekeeping is desired.
• Ability to work from general instructions with minimal supervision.
• Able to adapt to a service‑oriented environment with changing priorities.
• Experience using equipment like buffers/burnishers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk‑behind scrubbers, blowers and vacuums is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Confer daily with the Facilities Manager or Operations Coordinators to review assignments.
• Be a key player in keeping facilities clean & beautiful.
• Regularly check restroom cleanliness and supplies.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks from checklists and sign off tasks as completed.
• Note and report any building components in need of repair.
• Daily inspection of areas of responsibility.
• Assist other department personnel as deemed necessary.
• Carry a radio to communicate needs of events with other personnel.
• Clean and set rooms in accordance with Operations procedures.
• Adequately perform post‑event cleanup and trash removal.
• Operate equipment including buffers/burnishers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk‑behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, snow removal equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
