Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Facilities Specialist to assist in event setup and teardown at the Saint Charles Convention Center. Hours vary due to events; candidates must be willing to work days, evenings, and weekends. The role pays an hourly rate of $20.00–$21.00 and includes full-time benefits.

The position remains open through October 23, 2026. Join a team responsible for safe operations, excellent customer service, and detailed post-event cleanup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2+ years of experience in public facilities preferred.
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and tear down for events including chairs, tables, staging, dance floors, carpet squares, and pipe and drape.
• Complete cleaning checklists and room sets accurately and on time.
• Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes/sizes, drapery, and skirting.
• Safe use of cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, and related tools.
• Operate equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and power tools as needed.
• Post-event cleanup and trash removal.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned.
