Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Server – Catering to support banquet events across multiple locations. You will serve guests, communicate with kitchen staff, and stay knowledgeable about menu items and dietary information.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a team spirit, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. This role emphasizes delivering warm, welcoming guest experiences and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 10–35 lbs.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• With direction of supervisors and/or managers, serve guests according to the requested serving style.
• Communicate with expos and kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct.
• Remain knowledgeable of all menu items and dietary/allergy information for sharing with guests.
• Deliver warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client.
• Oversee quality, product levels and inventory of product.
• Fulfill guest needs quickly and resolve complaints effectively.
• Meet expectations of setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup for catered events.
• Perform back of house, front of house and side work duties for productivity.
• Explain menus, food presentation, and service techniques to guests with service focus.
• Perform strenuous manual labor as required (equipment storage, event setup, tear down).
• Support placement and storage of rental orders, buffet cards, and catering items.
