Job summary

The University of Minnesota Arboretum is seeking an events staff member to manage bars and point‑of‑sale setup, greet guests, and coordinate vendor needs during events. You will be the main Arboretum contact for clients and vendors, ensuring smooth operation and hospitality.

Responsibilities include staffing management, set‑up, restocking, and clean‑up; enforcing policies; basic cash handling; and applying TIPS training when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of serving alcoholic beverages.
• TIPS Training by first shift and licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as bartender, server, and event staff as needed.
• Set up and teardown bars and POS.
• Respond to guest and vendor needs with hospitality.
• Manage frontline Arboretum staff during events.
• Enforce Arboretum policies.
• Coordinate with facilities and security.
• Handle cash and total guest checks.
