Job summary

The Garces Group is seeking an event bartender/front-of-house professional to deliver hospitality at events, set up and breakdown, and maintain beverage service.

The role demands bartending experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work nights and weekends. Training will be provided, and candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years catering/banquet front-of-the-house experience preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.
• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience or completion of bartender/mixology school.
• Exceptional customer service, attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team.
• Prioritize, manage and follow through on multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and under deadline pressure.
• Ability to communicate with highly diverse group of people and exhibit sensitivity to cultural differences.
• Able to perform the physical demands of the job which include: Continuous walking at a rapid pace, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling (25 lbs. +).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which include nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional hospitality to guests from beginning to end of event
• Maintains a safe work environment throughout the event, focusing constantly on the safetyof guests and employees
• Sets up, serves, and breaks down each event as directed by the Captain
• Sets up, serves, and breaks down bar and beverage items for each event
• Maintains optimal level of supplies throughout event
• Communicates any changes in the bar/beverage menu to Bar Captain, Event Captain and servers
• Participates in staff “pre-meal” meeting prior to each event
• Maintains a high level of professionalism, energy and a positive attitude
• Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all beverage and menu items
• Communicates any questions, complaints or special requests to the Event Bar Captain and/or Event Captain
• Must be willing to also work as a butler
