Event Bartender | Ashbourne Farms Showbarn | LaGrange, KY

Ashbourne Farms is looking for Event Bartenders to join our team. At The Showbarn, you are more than a drink maker, you are a brand ambassador and a craftsman. You will provide high-end service during our premier events, ensuring every cocktail, pour, and interaction reflects the stature of the Ashbourne name.

Ashbourne Farms is located just outside of Louisville, KY in scenic LaGrange, KY and hosts a myriad of high-end luxury events such as weddings, corporate outings, concerts and shows, and private events throughout the year.

What you can expect:

• Competitive starting rates of $20-22 per hour based on experience
• Great opportunity for part time, event-based work, with seasonal peaks April through November
• Event shifts typically ranging from 6-10 hours

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of high-volume or upscale bartending experience.
• Technical Skill: A deep understanding of mixology, spirits, and proper serving techniques.
• Credentials: A Bartending Certification is not required. STAR Certification is a major plus.
• The "Ashbourne Standard": Keen attention to detail, a diplomatic approach to problem-solving, and a "team-first" mentality.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long durations and safely lift/move items up to 50 lbs (kegs, cases, ice).

Specific Duties and Expectations:

• Drink Preparation and Service: Accurately prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages including signature cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation meet the establishment’s standards.
• Customer Interaction and Service: Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized customer service, engaging with patrons, taking orders efficiently, managing special requests, and addressing any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies, restocking, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels. Ensure minimal wastage through precise pouring and efficient use of ingredients.
• Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of beverages, maintaining cleanliness of the bar area, and ensuring responsible alcohol service.

Additional Information, Physical / Other Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-10 hours per shift)
• Ability to frequently carry, push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist throughout the shift
• Ability to use hands and arms repetitively for carrying trays, serving beverages
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers in a noisy environment
• Exposure to hot surfaces, steam, open flames, and wet or slippery floors
• May include outdoor service with exposure to varying weather conditions
• Requires the use of non-slip footwear and adherence to safety guidelines
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to fulfill operational requirements.
