Job summary

Ashland University Bookstore is seeking casual bartenders for catering and conferences. You will work at university events, setting up mobile bars, restocking supplies, and serving cocktails, beer and wine.

Position is part-time with varied shifts; expected start date is 05/18/2026. Must be 21+, able to work in upscale settings, and legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and pull bars for each catered event, including wedding receptions and company functions.

Casual Bartender - Catering & Conferences

Rate of pay: $15.00/hr.

Job Description: Bartender for catered events such as wedding receptions, corporate holiday parties, and University functions. Bartenders set up and pull their own bars for each event. All bars are mobile, requiring the pulling and restocking of all alcohol, mixers, and garnishes before and after each event. Bartenders serve cocktails, beer, and wine.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Qualified candidates must possess natural ability to serve guests in an upscale dining environment.
• Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bartending experience preferred but not required.
• Experience handling cash and credit cards preferred but not required.
