Job summary

Levy Restaurants in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead food and beverage service for banquets, catering, and events. You will ensure Levy event standards are met and supervise setup, service execution, and breakdown, delivering professional and courteous service.

Ideal candidate has hospitality experience, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong communication, and flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, catering or hospitality roles preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet stations, and service stations.
• Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and understand event requirements prior to service.
• Ensure assigned stations are fully stocked and prepared before guests arrive.
• Set up and maintain coffee stations, beverage stations, and buffet displays as directed.
• Work collaboratively with Banquet Managers, Culinary, and fellow team members to ensure seamless event execution.
• Follow all food handling and alcohol service procedures.
• Assist with clearing banquet rooms and service areas following events.
• Properly store equipment, linens, serving utensils, and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas and workspaces.
• Ensure all equipment is returned and secured according to department procedures.
• Maintain compliance with uniform, grooming, and appearance standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
