Job summary

Terre Haute Casino Resort is seeking a Rockwood Host to greet guests, take reservations, and seat guests with a positive, friendly demeanor. You will need a solid knowledge of the restaurant layout and menus and must communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Responsibilities include maintaining seating flow, assisting in operations as needed, and working evenings and weekends, including holidays. A high school diploma is preferred and licensing requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of food or hospitality service experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals and menus.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn reservation and iPad systems.
• Must obtain appropriate licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them in a friendly manner.
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant layout and menu items.
• Communicate compliments or complaints to management promptly.
• Assist in the restaurant as needed and perform other duties.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
