Job summary

Terre Haute Casino Resort is seeking a Rockwood Host to greet guests, take reservations, and seat guests in a friendly manner at the assigned restaurant.

Must be available to work evenings and weekends in a part-time role, with compensation of $14.00 per hour.

Candidates should maintain knowledge of restaurant layout and menu items, communicate guest feedback to management, and assist in dining room operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• One year of food or hospitality service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and menus.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat patrons according to seating diagram.
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant layout and menu items for assigned outlet.
• Communicate guest compliments or complaints to management in a timely manner.
• Move and work with a positive, friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Assist in restaurant operations as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
