Job summary
Community Health Systems is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support safe pharmaceutical care through medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management in a hospital setting. The role works evenings as PRN; provides opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training, with supervision from licensed pharmacists and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a hospital Pharmacy required.
- PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation and dispensing of medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintains inventory and conducts regular audits to ensure medication availability.
- Provides excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff regarding medications.
- Keeps accurate records of medication orders and dispensing activities.
- Participates in quality assurance and safety practices in the pharmacy.
- Ensures pharmacy equipment functions properly and assists in troubleshooting.
- Collaborates with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Stays current with pharmacy practices and participates in ongoing training.
