Temple Health is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for Burn Med Surg Evenings Flex at Temple University Hospital. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under R.N. guidance, including vital signs, ECGs, and daily living activities. Certification may be required within 90 days of hire.

The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with evenings 3p-11:30p and every-other weekend/holiday as needed, at Temple University Hospital, a major teaching hospital within Temple Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program Preferred
• 1 year experience in a patient care role Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose needs.
• Observes and reports the functioning of equipment, the results of treatments, condition of dressings and any change in patient condition.
• Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities.
• Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.
