UI Health in Chicago, IL invites applications for Staff Nurse I on the Float Team MS/Tele (Evenings, 0.6 FTE). The role provides direct patient care within the hospital’s MS/Tele unit, with responsibilities including developing patient plans, collaborating with the care team, and supporting learning for staff and students.

The position requires Illinois residency within 180 days and offers a pay range previously determined as hourly and finalized by bargaining agreement and budget.

Formación

• Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR and/or other unit-specific certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years Stepdown/Telemetry experience.
• Excellent attendance and communication skills.
• Proficient with Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Responsabilidades

• Develops, implements, and updates the patient’s plan of care.
• Collaborates with health care team to promote patient care.
• Verifies orders from physicians and documents in EHR.
• Engages patient/family to develop education plans.
• Responds to patient’s changing needs.
• Acts as preceptor or resource to staff and students.
