Job summary

Meijer, Inc. is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across services, products, and customer service. Team members enjoy interacting with people and delivering “above and beyond” service.

As an entry-level role, you will perform cart retrieval, trash coordination, basic cleaning, and support across departments while developing customer service and teamwork skills in a large Midwest retailer setting.

Qualifications

• Be organized with a keen eye for details.
• Strong listening and communication abilities.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot teams.
• Work with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
