Job summary

Mesa Springs is a Behavioral Health hospital serving the Fort Worth, TX community. We are seeking a Help for Heroes/PHP Therapist for full‑time evenings to provide individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning and discharge, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and an active state license, plus CPR and de‑escalation certifications or eligibility to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling (required).
• Current Clinical or Social Work license as required by state regulations.
• CPR Certification and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions for psychological, emotional, or substance use issues.
• Participates in treatment planning, discharge, transition, and after-care processes.
• Provides family therapy sessions to support continuity of care.
• Supports with patient vitals and urine drug screening as needed.
• Communicates with patients, families, and referral sources per HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, UR, and nursing staff.
• Completes all documentation accurately and within facility timelines.
