Job summary

Mesa Springs is a Behavioral Health hospital seeking an Inpatient Therapist to join our Fort Worth, TX team. You’ll conduct individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, coordinate with care teams, and support families to ensure patient safety and successful transitions.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and be licensed; CPR and de-escalation certs are required or obtainable within 30 days. This is a full-time, day-shift position.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent; experience may substitute for education.
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients; advanced trauma therapy preferred.
• CPR Certification and De-escalation certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current Clinical or Social Work license as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions educating patients on psychological, emotional, or substance use problems.
• Active involvement in treatment planning and discharge/after-care planning.
• Provides family session counseling to involve families and support groups.
• Communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources; works with interdisciplinary team.
• Completes all documentation timely and in accordance with hospital standards.
