Covenant House Alaska seeks a Youth Engagement Specialist to provide trauma-informed youth care across residential and drop-in programs. You will build trusting relationships with youth and guide them through stages of change.

You will facilitate educational, vocational, and life-skill programming, document progress, and coordinate with families, partner agencies, and CHA staff. GED/HS required; BA preferred; schedule Fri-Sun evenings.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred.
• Experience with adolescent or disadvantaged populations is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide trauma-informed, individualized youth services across CHA programs.
• Build intentional relationships with youth and support them through stages of change.
• Engage youth in educational, vocational, and life-skill programming.
• Document in youth files and maintain CARES/ETO data input daily.
• Coordinate with families, partner agencies, and CHA staff.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Maintain ethical standards and safety of youth at all times.
