Job summary

Boys Town in Omaha, NE is seeking a Youth Care Worker for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm). Starting pay is $18.00/hour with a $2,500 hiring bonus.

This full-time role includes rotating holidays and weekends, and involves teaching life skills and providing a safe, supportive environment for youth. Responsibilities include supervising youth, transporting to appointments, and assisting with intake documents while maintaining CPR and restraint training requirements during pre-service training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• CPR and nationally recognized personal restraint model must be obtained during pre-service training.

Responsibilities

• Teach skills and monitor youth behavior.
• Create a safe and positive living environment.
• Support youth academic success and personal development.
• Transport youth to appointments, school, and activities.
• Assist with intake and departure documentation.
• Observe and participate in mediation and planning conferences with youth and families.
