NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Radiographer for full-time evening shifts in Radiology-Diagnostic. You will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, operate X-ray equipment, and supervise students as needed, while maintaining high standards of safety and patient care.

The role requires NY licensure in diagnostic radiography, ARRT registration, and completion of a two-year ARRT-approved program, with ongoing education and quality assurance responsibilities integral to the job.

Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure to practice Diagnostic Radiography.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Completion of a two year approved ARRT School.

Responsibilities

• Operates X-ray Equipment in accordance with State and Federal Codes.
• Positions patient for proper orientation of anatomy.
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
• Identifies film and/or other identification by displaying right and left marker.
• Maintains proper labeling and documentation of imaging procedures.
• Pursues continuing education by acquiring 12 educational credits annually.
• Performs Daily Quality Assurance activity and safety checks on equipment.
