Job summary

The Lake Superior YMCA in Hermantown, MN is seeking a part-time Wellness Center Coach to deliver strength and cardiovascular training in a safe, engaging setting. You will respond to member needs, promote wellness, and maintain a clean health facility.

Responsibilities include fitness evaluations, orientations, building rapport with members, and enforcing safety policies. Evening shifts and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications; training provided if needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service experience; ability to multi-task.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, fitness evaluations, and orientations.
• Build authentic member relationships; help connect members with the Y.
• Answer questions to support members' healthy living goals.
• Enforce policies for the equipment area; keep it safe and clean.
• Maintain wellness knowledge to support member retention.
• Apply YMCA policies; respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Foster an inclusive environment; support equity and diversity.
• Lead and participate in growth and development activities.
