Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, inspect, and process surgical instruments, carts, and equipment for patient care. You will follow kit lists and manufacturer guidelines to ensure sterility and quality.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, enrollment or completion of a CS PPE program, and certification within one year. A signing bonus may be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of, or enrollment in an accredited Central Sterile Processing Technician program.
• Certification is required within one year of employment.
• Preferred: Central Sterile Processing Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store instruments and kits per policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilized equipment and biological testing.
• Check and restock par level and code carts; monitor for outdated supplies.
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies; coordinate equipment checks with Biomedical.
• Document equipment loss, repairs, and requisitions; order specialty beds as needed.
