The Orchards is hiring a Server/Nutrition Services Diet Aide in Mission Viejo, CA. This part-time role involves providing table service in community dining rooms and delivering exemplary care to residents.

Schedule options include evenings and weekends with competitive wages of $20–$21 per hour, plus benefits like a 401k match, tuition assistance, commuter reimbursement, and onsite gym access. Training is provided; healthcare dining experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to work with and have empathy for the elderly.
• Excellent customer service and listening skills.
• Be reliable, organized and a team player.
• Food Handler card (can be obtained after hire).
• Six Month's experience as a diet aide or diet clerk preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing pre and post-meal time checklists for skilled nursing trayline and assisted living dining services.
• Prepares meal trays for skilled nursing trayline and understands therapeutic diets menus.
• Takes assisted living residents' orders graciously and courteously, listens with patience.
• Clears dishes from dining room tables, before, during, and after meal service.
• Assists with preparation and portioning of nourishments, snacks, salads and desserts.
• Sets up tables in health center dining rooms and breaks them down after meals.
• Transports foods and non-food items to/from kitchen and maintains clean, safe work area.
• Attends in-service training and follows proper food handling techniques.
