Job summary

Colorado School of Mines seeks multiple Regional Admissions Counselors to cover Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina. This role builds relationships with students, families, school counselors, and community groups to recruit and enroll academically prepared students at Mines.

The position involves significant travel, primarily during fall and spring, and works from a home office with occasional campus travel to Golden, CO for training and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in college admissions, student services, customer service, or sales.
• Strong project management, resourcefulness, use of good judgment, and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned region for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Experience using data to inform decisions.
• Experience using an admissions CRM, ideally Slate.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to prospective students, families, school officials, and other campus constituents.
• Plan, organize, and attend recruitment and yield events in the assigned region.
• Identify, register, and attend high school and college visits, college and transfer fairs, and other recruitment opportunities.
• Support prospective students and families through the application process.
• Coordinate with the campus Admissions Office for strategic initiatives.
• Attend campus-based training and signature recruiting events.
• Evaluate market and enrollment data to inform recruitment strategies.
• Host regional information sessions and outreach programs.
• Manage a budget for the assigned region, including travel expenses.
