Job summary

Colorado School of Mines is seeking a Regional Admissions Counselor based in Texas to recruit and enroll academically prepared students to Mines. You will travel extensively within the region, engage with high schools and counselors, and collaborate with campus admissions teams to meet enrollment goals.

Preference will be given to candidates in the Houston area, with travel to Golden, CO for training and signature events. This role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in college admissions, student services, customer service, or sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned region for extended periods.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong project management, sound judgment and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide admissions counseling and information to prospective students and families.
• Plan, organize and attend recruitment events across the region.
• Develop relationships with school counselors and educational organizations.
• Coordinate with the Admissions Office on strategic initiatives and enrollment goals.
• Manage region-specific budget including travel expenses and reporting.
