Chestnut Health Systems in Maryville, IL is hiring a Part-Time Client Care Technician / Specialist. Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are eligible for shift differentials as part of a recovery-focused, trauma-informed support program in residential and crisis services.

The role aims to empower clients to build hope, wellness, and independence in a safe, welcoming environment, with a long-standing focus on integrated behavioral health care and community-based primary care services.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and a demonstrated interest in social services.
• Five years of experience in mental health, substance use, or other social services OR a Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of college coursework and experience totaling five years.
• CRSS or CPRS certification required for Specialist title.
• Ability to obtain CADC certification within two years of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Guide the Recovery Journey by supporting clients, observing progress, and reporting on personal goals.
• Promote empowerment with a recovery-first mindset and trauma-informed care.
• Lead daily activities with the clinical team and supervise mealtimes and medication observation.
• Assist with intake, orient new arrivals, and conduct inventory of belongings.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and community events.
• Ensure safety and professional hand-offs during shift changes.
