Job summary

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson seeks a Part-Time Practical Nursing Instructor for Evening/Weekend classes at the Brownsville Campus. This grant-funded position supports the Rural Healthcare Pathways Expansion Grant.

Qualified candidates have an Associate Degree in Nursing and an active RN license in Tennessee, with BSN preferred. At least three years of recent clinical nursing experience and evening/weekend availability are required; teaching experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required with active RN licensure in Tennessee.
• BSN preferred; teaching experience is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of clinical RN experience in the last five years.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting training of students in Practical Nursing.
• Assist with curriculum instruction in the classroom.
• Supervise students’ clinical experience as scheduled.
• Assist with actively seeking potential clinical sites for the provision of clinical training.
• Demonstrate a commitment to staying current in the nursing field.
• Confer with administration to gain knowledge and better understand policy, procedure, and technology changes.
• Other duties as assigned.
